Throughout the making of the film The Chalet School Revisited, I followed the advice given in Alan Rosenthal's Writing, Directing and Producing Documentary Films (Southern Illinois University Press, Carbondale and Edwardsville, 1990) and Michael Rabiger's Directing the Documentary (Focal Press, London, 1992). I do not attempt to repeat their advice here, but in a true hypertext environment, I would have created links between the chapters which were most useful and the relevant descriptions of my work. In any case, I would thoroughly recommend these texts to other researchers.
