In an electronic online library, all of the works referred to here could be accessed directly from this text, either at their contents pages or at the points where the excerpts quoted occur. Since many of the works quoted are out of print and are difficult to obtain through the public library system, this would obviously make access to them much easier as well as enhancing the reading experience. Surveys of critical literature, a cornerstone of any research work, will be of much greater use in the future if the electronic online library system is implemented.
